2nd Annual 5K family Run/Walk Road Race
Supported by Heywood Hospital.
Forward in Health is a non-profit organization that works in Haiti and has a goal of building a permanent medical clinic in Haiti,the poorest country in the Western Hemsiphere, by 2009.The clinic will bring healthcare to 15,000 people currently without local access to medical care and will be staffed by physicians from Haiti. Dr Jonh Mulqueen and his wife Paula are co founders of Forward in Health along with Dr Harrington from the Winchendon Health Center who serves as FIH’s medical director, and a number of other area healthcare professinals, have been providing periodic medical care in Les Cayes, since 2001.This year they are fundraising to reach their goal. The single largest fundraiser in 2007 for Forward in Health will be a 5K/run/walk supported by Heywood Hospital Celebrating it’s 100th anniversary. The race is scheduled for August 4th,2007 frim 3-5 pm and will begin and end at Mount Wachussett Community College in Garner, MA.
Entry fees $25 per person walking/running. Option to have family and friends,or business sponsor you and raise additional money. Water,Juice and snacks to be provided.
Prizes: Top male and femail Runners. first $150 Second $100 Third $50.
Trophy for the team(3 or more runners) with best finish. And for the person who raises the most money.
Free T-Shirt for all Pre registered Runners and Walkers
